MHS is the home to more than 1300 students who take part in a wide variety of academic, extra-curricular, and co-curricular activities ranging from academic teams to musical groups to athletics and beyond. MHS has been the home to several regional and state champions as well as two national champion groups. At MHS, we have an enthusiastic and dedicated staff providing effective instruction by implementing best practice strategies as we strive for improving student achievement and growth. Our staff includes dedicated teachers and support staff members who go the extra mile to help our students achieve to their best potential. Many staff members have been recognized through local, state, and even national programs.
MHS is also the home to a rich heritage. As central Indiana's oldest high school, we are proud to have grown from a two-room boarding academy with two chalkboards to the vast campus we have today and one-to-one technology integration. Learn more about our history.
